Sophie Classic with MaxView has a high speed bi-angular x-ray tube. This dedicated tube provides higher mA loading which further reduces exposure times and lessens motion unsharpness, resulting in excellent magnification images.Very small and stable focal spots combined with optimized geometry give high spatial resolution with reduced geometric blurring. Common focal spot blooming is prevented with a special bias circuit keeping the focal spot sizes constant regardless of kV and mA used.

The benefits of the smooth and elegant design are not solely aesthetic. Compact size makes the unit an excellent choice also for small premises. Manual operations are minimized resulting in efficient and hygienic operations. Motorized functions like isocentric rotation relieve the strain for the operator and allow successful examination sessions with high patient through-put. The innovative, patented MaxView Breast Positioning System uses moving hygienic, radiolucent sheets under and above the compressed breast. These sheets are attached to two traction modules that pull the sheets, and the compressed breast into the imaging field. The technologist can control pulling with additional foot controls or with finger buttons. MaxView maximizes the field of view and provides up to 2 cm more visible breast tissue which results in finding more early cancers.

The Planmed Sophie Classic with MaxView Breast Positioning System can be customized to your particular needs. Each unit is equipped with flash EPROM memory chips. Updated new features can thus be easily added to existing units simply by downloading latest software upgrades from a laptop computer.

Modular system architecture allows the unit configuration to be expanded later on also with other optional accessories like network ID flashers, stereotactics and digital readiness.
